However, we do charge for our collection service for schools, companies and organisations who cannot deliver their IT equipment to our recycling centre. We do not collect from households but any household looking for pc recycling can drop off their pcs free of charge at our Leeds depot. |  | | We offer free computer recycling which will save you and your company some serious money. Some companies charge money for these services which we offer free of charge. | We collect and recycle pcs, laptops, monitors, printers, photocopiers, projectors and mobile phones, we then refurbish them and re-donate them to charities that we support. Some equipment may be sold off at discounted charity prices. We are a social enterprise and any equipment donated to us are professionally refurbish by in-house engineers and apprentice trainees from the local community, Mencap and Future Pathways. Ycs Computers gives young and unemployed youths from our local community the opportunity to train how to repair and refurbish computers in our workshop. This helps to keep the young and unemployed out of the streets and gives them the opportunity to do something useful. We treat data destruction as a priority. Hard drives from recycled computers are professionally wiped using specialist software for securely wiping the hard drives. No data can be retrieved. Once this is done, you the client will be issued with a certificate of destruction listing every data carrying device in the computer. We take ownership of the equipment once you donate it to us.
